So you’ve stumbled into The Nerdie Matters Collective — welcome, traveler. Maybe you followed the whisper of archetypes, the lure of a retreat, or the shimmer of our upcoming Thread & Tether deck (equal parts archetypal storytelling + nerdie magick). Or maybe you just got lost somewhere between “mental health” and “witchy therapist Instagram.” However you arrived, you’ve found your people.
The Nerdie Matters Collective (TNMC, if you like acronyms) is an equal parts community, creative lab, and living experiment. We’re built for seekers, therapists, wellness folks, and souls in transition — basically anyone who’s done with surface-level wellness talk and craves a space that holds both depth and play, seriousness and magick.
Here’s the thing: we’re not rushing to scale, chasing shiny offers, or trying to out-hustle hustle culture. We’re building slowly, intentionally — like a strong brew steeping or bread rising in its own time. Everything here is still conjuring, still evolving. And that’s the point: you get to grow right alongside us.
✨ Why We Exist
Because the world of mental health and wellness can feel…a little clinical. Or performative. Or like it’s all Instagrammable affirmations with no room for the messy, complicated human parts.
We wanted something different.
TNMC was born to create spaces that honor both the depth of the work and the humanity of those doing it. To blur the line between professional growth and personal belonging. To gather in ways that feel alive, flexible, and responsive to the people in the room.
In short: we believe wellness doesn’t need more polish. It needs more presence.
🕰️ Where We’ve Been
Before we talk about what’s next, let’s honor where we’ve already gathered. These moments laid the foundation for what TNMC is becoming:
🍷 The Winery Gathering – Our first official meetup was planned as hide and seek at the winery…until we realized a wedding was happening. (Crashing it didn’t feel like the right vibe.) So we pivoted. Instead of sneaking behind barrels, we sat together, swapped life stories, and toasted to flexibility. Turns out, the real offering is always in connection.
🃏 The Therapist After Dark Gathering – The jars were stirred, the crayons worn down, and the therapist card game got… delightfully unhinged. We dipped into creative prompts, explored our parts with color and curiosity, and tapped into our inner child (yes, stickers were involved). And then came The Horrible Therapist Game — where ethical dilemmas met outrageous answers, giving us permission to laugh at the things we usually whisper about behind closed doors.
What unfolded was more than just fun (though there was plenty of that). We cracked open conversations about what it means to hold space, to be seen, to wrestle with the weight of our work — and still circle back to joy, connection, and play.
✨ These early gatherings reminded us that community isn’t a buzzword. It’s messy, meaningful, awkward, and real. And that’s exactly how we like it.
🌌 What’s Happening Now
Here’s where the story has begun (spoiler: the best parts are still unfolding):
🌕 Full Moon Gathering (October 6, 2025) – We’ll gather under the stars in Temecula to introduce the Thread & Tether Deck. Picture firelight, card-pulling, and story-sharing guided by the moon. No pressure to speak — just come as you are, soak in the collective reflection, and let a little nerdie magick do its thing. (If the deck hasn’t arrived yet — because even oracle decks have their own divine timing — we’ll use a companion deck chosen with care. Either way, the magick is on.)
🌙 First Retreat (March 3-5, 2026) – Coming soon: a retreat that feels less like “mandatory team-building” and more like a sacred exhale. Think rest, reconnection, and maybe even savory s’mores by the fire.
🔮 Thread & Tether (Pre-Release Fall 2025 · Launching March 2026) – Our first card deck, co-created as a reflection companion. Archetypal storytelling and nervous system wisdom woven into cards designed for therapists, seekers, and anyone navigating transition. No guru vibes. No gatekeeping. Just resonance.
💫 A limited pre-release will roll out in Fall 2025 for those willing to share their experiences and help spread the goodness.
🧭 Our Pillars
Think of The Nerdie Matters Collective as an ecosystem with four living pillars. Each one holds a different kind of space — some cozy, some expansive, some designed to stretch your perspective — but all connected in service of community, creativity, and care.
🧭 Circles (Community)
Spaces of belonging where members connect, reflect, and co-create.
📚 The Book Haven – Shared reads and dialogue that spark imagination (the book is the doorway, but the conversation always wanders).
🌱 Mentorship & Peer Support – Wisdom-sharing, encouragement, and steady guidance.
⚖️ Clinicians’ Roundtable & Community Circle – Collective dialogue on ethics and the evolving field.
✨ Special Interest Groups (SIGs) – Rotating circles focused on trauma, neurodivergence, and more.
🌒 After Dark – Honest, unfiltered conversations about the shadow side of therapist life.
☕ Common Room (Virtual Lounge) – A casual space for connection and shared presence.
🎭 The Stage – A spotlight for creativity: writing, podcasts, art, and experiments.
🌌 Gatherings (Experiences)
Immersive encounters that invite rest, reflection, and reimagining.
🌙 Retreats – Seasonal spaces for reconnection and renewal (first in March 2026).
🪄 Workshops & Professional Development – Creative practice and growth opportunities, with CE credits woven in.
🌫 The Veil – Explorations at the threshold between the seen and unseen.
✨ Offerings (Companions)
Sacred creations designed to support reflection and growth.
🔮 Thread & Tether (Oracle Deck) – Archetypal storytelling + nervous system wisdom (launching March 2026).
📖 The Nerdie Matters Journal – Monthly insights, reflections, and field conversations.
📂 The Archive – A living library where wisdom accumulates and grows.
🌱 Growth (Collective)
Spaces to deepen practice, expand perspective, and grow together.
🪄 Workshops & Professional Development – Applied learning with community care at the core.
⚖️ Clinicians’ Roundtable & Community Circle – Shared ethics and evolving field dialogues.
🌱 Mentorship & Peer Support – Guidance and mutual growth rooted in shared humanity.
✨ In Short
- 🧭 Circles (Community) = spaces of belonging — dialogue, connection, and creative sharing.
- 🌌 Gatherings (Experiences) = immersive encounters — retreats, workshops, and liminal explorations.
- ✨ Offerings (Companions) = sacred creations for reflection — the deck, journal, and archive.
- 🌱 Growth (Collective) = mentorship, wisdom-sharing, and evolving practice.
🌙 How We Gather
Here’s our philosophy in three lines:
- We set the stage.
- You bring yourself.
- Together, we let it unfold.
Whether it’s a Book Haven, a retreat, or a casual hangout, the richness comes from what the community brings to the circle. We create the container, but we don’t script the outcome. That’s where the Magick (yes, with a k) happens.
✨ Our Values
- 💫 Community over competition. Sharing wisdom beats hoarding it.
- 🔮 Creativity over conformity. Your weird belongs.
- 🌱 Belonging over fitting in. Masks down, monsters included.
- 🪞 Wisdom over perfection. Reflection over hustle.
- 🖤 Humanity over hustle. We rest here.
🌌 How to Begin
If you’re new, here are a few ways to step in:
🌕 Come to the Full Moon Gathering (October 6, 2025) — under the stars in Temecula, where we’ll introduce the Thread & Tether deck (or a companion, if the deck takes its divine time). Firelight, card-pulling, story-sharing, and a little nerdie magick.
🌙 Join the Retreat (March 2026) — step away from the grind and into a space of reconnection, renewal, and maybe even firelit s’mores.
🔮 Watch for Thread & Tether — launching March 2026.
No wrong doors. Just follow what tugs at you.
🌙 The Invitation
The Nerdie Matters Collective is not something you consume. It’s something you co-create. Every gathering, every creative share, every story told adds to the ecosystem.
So welcome in. Bring your quirks, your questions, your shadows, your brilliance. There’s room for it all here.
We’ll be here — brewing, conjuring, and holding the door open. 🖤
